Hey everyone, Mayeluz here! I want to share a little piece of my heart with you today, inspired by an incredible article Vishen recently shared in our Social Media Mastery program. It’s about something called the “visibility wound”—something that hit me right in the soul and changed the way I see my own journey.
You see, I’m the owner of Soulful Portraits by Mayeluz, and I’m deeply passionate about empowering women through personal branding photography. But let me be real: just a few years ago, I was right there, hiding behind my own fears of being seen.
I first discovered Vishen and Mindvalley almost two years ago. For my birthday, I gifted myself a Mindvalley membership, and it was one of the most transformative gifts I’ve ever given myself. Through the Social Media Mastery program, I realized that I, too, had been carrying a “visibility wound.” For years, I hesitated to share my work and my voice. Even though I loved helping women step into their power through photography, I found myself holding back on social media, afraid of what it might mean to be truly visible.
Vishen’s article made me realize that this fear is something many of us carry, often without even realizing it. It’s not about being lazy or not cut out for this—it’s about an old wound that tells us it’s not safe to be seen. And guess what? Healing that wound is a daily choice. It’s a practice of showing up, even when your voice shakes, and sharing your gifts with the world.
That’s why I’m launching the Golden Evolution movement and the 40 Over 40 photo experience. I want to create a safe, empowering space for women—especially women over 40—to step into their light and be truly seen. Whether it’s for personal portraits or personal branding, I want to help you reclaim your visibility and know that your story matters.
